Man vs Baby (2025) – First Trailer

The story opens by re-introducing the central character, Trevor Bingley (played by Rowan Atkinson), who after the disaster of his previous housesitting job in the predecessor series finds himself yearning for a quieter life. Now working as a school caretaker, Trevor hopes that the chaos is behind him. But when a lucrative winter job looking after a luxurious London penthouse over Christmas emerges, he cannot resist the offer.

However, things quickly go off the rails. On the final day of term, the school nativity play fails to result in anyone collecting the Baby Jesus under Trevor’s care. One thing leads to another and Trevor finds himself unexpectedly tasked with looking after a real baby as well as the penthouse. With the holiday season in full swing and festive pressures mounting, his hopes for a calm Christmas begin to unravel.

Much of the humour in the series stems from the collision of two worlds: Trevor’s well-intentioned but hapless attempt to manage duty and domesticity, and the lavish demands of the penthouse environment he now inhabits. The juxtaposition of high-end luxury, festive decorations, and baby-care chaos provides the perfect setup for physical comedy, panic, mistakes and ultimately a measure of heart. The series is described by the streaming platform as “a light-hearted, family-friendly holiday story about responsibility, chaos, and laughter.”

Behind the scenes, “Man vs Baby” brings back the creative team from the predecessor. Rowan Atkinson reunites with writer Will Davies (who co-wrote the series) and is directed by David Kerr. The format will consist of four episodes, each approximately 30 minutes long.

In terms of tone and appeal, the series aims to deliver the signature slapstick and expressive comedy that Atkinson is known for, but in a fresh festive setting. The London backdrop at Christmas time, the penthouse setting, the unexpected caregiving role—all combine to create an environment where even a seasoned comedic performer can find new ways to stumble, recover, and charm audiences. It promises fun for families and fans of Atkinson’s earlier physical-comedy work alike. With its December release on the horizon (set for December 11, 2025) it hopes to become a seasonal favourite.

In summary, “Man vs Baby” picks up after the earlier misadventures of Trevor Bingley, relocating his chaos from a bee-infested mansion to a snow-touched luxe penthouse and, most crucially, into the world of baby-care. The combination of holiday cheer, domestic mayhem, and Trevor’s well-meant but disaster-prone efforts sets the stage for a comedy of errors that is as warm-hearted as it is foolishly funny. It will be interesting to see how Trevor handles this new “baby vs man” scenario — and whether he ends up winning the battle, or simply surviving it.
