Killer Island Z opens with a mysterious incident at a remote scientific research camp located on the Isle of Gran Manan, where an accident of unknown origin disrupts both environment and time. A powerful CEO, desperate and panicked after the incident, hires a rugged team of blue‑collar mercenaries to infiltrate the island and rescue his daughter, who is a scientist stationed at the camp. The daughter has been cut off from communication and the last reports from the camp were alarming—the accident appears to have unleashed forces beyond any natural disaster.
When the rescue team arrives, they find that the island is much more than abandoned labs and research projects gone awry. The first shock comes when they realize the island is surrounded by a wormhole‑like phenomenon: every three days time resets. Whatever progress they make, whatever dangers they face, after that reset everything returns to a previous state—forcing the team to relive certain horrors over and over again.

Not only does time warp against them, but the island is crawling with hideous monsters. These creatures seem linked somehow to the scientific experiments and whatever calamity befell the camp. As the mercenaries push in, they must contend with brutal fights, unexpected mutations, and the psychological havoc that the time reset causes. Memories become unreliable, choices repeat, and death seems less of an end than a temporary setback.
Each reset intensifies the stakes. The daughter, once rescued, reveals she was studying not merely environmental anomalies but the fabric of time and space. Her work may have caused the wormhole, or at least amplified it. The mercenaries, together with her, struggle to understand whether there is a way to break the loop permanently, or whether they will forever be trapped in this cycle of violence and terror.

As the film progresses, suspicion and betrayal arise within the group, especially as some members suffer repeated deaths while others retain fragments of knowledge from previous cycles. The daughter attempts to reconstruct what triggered the initial accident, while the mercenaries debate whether escaping with their lives is possible — and whether to try resetting the island again in hopes of fixing what went wrong.
In its climax, Killer Island Z delivers a final confrontation with the monstrous organism or force behind the experiments. The team faces a choice: sacrifice themselves to destroy the wormhole once and for all, or flee and leave the daughter (and the island) to continue suffering endless resets. The film ends on a tense note — there is a sense that even after victory (if victory is achieved), some costs are permanent. Survivors carry knowledge, guilt, and a changed view of what time, life, and death really mean.
