The arrival of MobLand Season 2 in 2026 brings with it both the promise of more intrigue and the weight of expectations. Season 1, which premiered in March 2025 and concluded in June, ended on a high‐stakes note: the violent rivalry between the Harrigan and Stevenson crime families seemed to have tilted decisively in favour of the Harrigans. The streaming numbers were strong—over 26 million global views—leading Paramount+ to officially renew the show in June 2025. Thus, Season 2 must build from scenes of triumph, betrayal, and uncertain survival.

Key survivors from Season 1 are expected to return. Tom Hardy’s Harry Da Souza survived an accidental stabbing by his wife Jan, which left his fate ambiguous. Maeve Harrigan (Helen Mirren), Conrad (Pierce Brosnan), Kevin (Paddy Considine), Bella, Seraphina and Eddie are among the core group whose arcs were unfinished.  On the other hand, Richie Stevenson, the show’s main rival, is dead.  The dynamics among surviving Harrigans will therefore be a central thread: loyalty, power struggles, shifting alliances, and perhaps betrayal.

What might change in scope is also of considerable interest. Tom Hardy has hinted that Season 2 could expand beyond the localized setting of Merseyside and London to encompass more international crime networks. There are mentions of commodities—drugs, weapons, people—moving through Europe, from Africa to South America and Pakistan, and how families in different countries might vie for status and control.  This opens up potential for new characters, new antagonists, and a broader canvas.

Even with the defeat of Stevenson, the tailwinds of conflict remain. Kevin Harrigan may seek to seize more power, perhaps even challenging the established order among the Harrigans. Maeve’s manipulations and Eddie’s uncertain loyalties suggest that cracks remain. Also, Kat McAllister, introduced in Season 1, could emerge as a more active threat, as could other external forces that were previously only hinted at.

Finally, one of Season 2’s challenges will be resolving cliffhangers and dealing with moral complications. Harry’s survival from a dramatic stabbing leaves tension: will he return physically and mentally intact, or will this ordeal fundamentally change him?  How the family deals with the fallout of deaths, betrayals, and exposed secrets will also dictate much of the emotional core. As the plot widens geographically, it risks diluting personal character arcs unless it balances spectacle with intimacy.

In sum, MobLand Season 2 has a potent mix to work with: victory, but uneasy; power, but fragile; expansion, but risky. Fans can expect more tense conflicts, shifting loyalties, greater threats, and possibly a broader, more international scope. Whether it maintains the gritty intensity of Season 1 while growing bigger will determine if it lives up to its hype—or becomes something else entirely.
